Crossing the entire country! Our ambassador Dávid Slovák ( @david.slovak ) from Bratislava had an unusual plan - to cross from eastern Nová Sedlica to western Záhorská Ves.

Neither by car nor by bus, but on an electric motorbike. Since he couldn't ride it on the highway, he took routes that people don't normally take, and that was the most interesting part of the whole trip. He told Nové Čas what he experienced and also told us about his shared meal with a motorbike. Dávid had been toying with the idea of riding across Slovakia for over a year.

"I was attracted to the freedom of an electric motorcycle and the fact that I wouldn't have to rush anywhere," Dávid explained. "I have the Vmoto TC PRO model. The electric motorcycle works in such a way that you can either go fast, but cover a shorter distance on one charge, or you can slow down and have a longer range. I chose the second option," continues the sales manager. He started on April 25 and passed the Záhorská Ves sign on Saturday, April 30.

This machine can't be driven on the highway, but that obviously didn't bother David. "I was able to enjoy roads that people don't normally take." That's why I focused on places like Žehra, the Bzovík fortress, or the unexplored corners of the Poloniny itself," he revealed that he mostly improvised and didn't even bother with accommodation. "I only figured it out in the evening, when I had some idea of where I was going," he said. He ate at one place on his motorbike.

"If there was a plug in a restaurant, I used it to charge my motorbike for lunch," he laughed. "It sounds like a cliché, but the most beautiful experience was the trip itself, from which I have beautiful memories of places and people that I hope I won't see for the last time," he said honestly. "A family in Príslop (Snina district) gave me a plug to charge my battery, they also gave me something to eat, and if I hadn't driven, I would have gotten wine," he exults over the good people.
